Register to Bid

“Why do you require a credit card to register and bid?”

We want to ensure that all our bidders are valid, qualified bidders. In this way, we assure all bidders that every bidder has met the same conditions to be able to bid in our auctions.

“Can I look at the items before I bid?”

Each auction will have information regarding where the items are located and a scheduled preview time. If there is a specified preview time, you may preview auction items only during this time, no exceptions.

“Do you ship items?”

Yes! Fast Track Marketplace offers shipping on auctions that are noted “Shipping Is Available From This Location.” It is the bidder’s responsibility to make any shipping arrangements if shipping is needed. However, Fast Track Marketplace will assist buyer with shipping solutions when the auction is notated to have shipping. Please note that shipping is ONLY available if the particular auction advertises it.

“How long do I have to pay for my items?”

Unless stated otherwise in a specific auction’s terms, all auction purchases must be paid for at the close of the auction.   All auction purchases will be charged automatically to the credit card on file for your bidder number.  If you do not appear to remove your items they can and will be considered abandoned and resold at the discretion of Owner/Seller or Fast Track Marketplace.

“How long do I have to pick up my items?”

The date by which all merchandise must be removed from the premises is posted on an auction-by-auction basis, on the specific auction page’s terms and details. These dates vary from auction to auction, so it’s important to check the removal dates before bidding

“What are bid increments?”

A bid increment is the minimum amount required to raise the bid. For example, if the current bid on an item is $100, you must bid at least $110 to raise the bid. Bid increments are set at $2.50, $5.00, $10.00, $50.00, and $100.00. You may not bid in increments smaller than the set bid increment for an item.

“What if I change my mind after bidding?”

By bidding on an item you are creating a contract that is enforceable in a court of law.  Fast Track Marketplace will pursue all legal remedies required to enforce this contract. The terms of usage prevent retraction of a bid once the auction has closed. If you are unsure about an item, DO NOT BID – no bids will be retracted.

“Do I have to pay sales tax?”

Most States require us to collect sales tax for all applicable sales. If you believe you are entitled to an exemption from sales tax, please complete the appropriate form and fax it to our office prior to bidding. You can also email a PDF of the form to us.  If you do not fill out a form and submit it prior to the end of the auction, you will be charged sales tax and it will be your responsibility to apply to the state for a tax refund.

“How does the Auto-Extend feature work?”

If an item receives a bid in the last 3 minutes, the ending time for that auction will automatically be extended by 3 minutes. Once three minutes have passed without any bidding, the item will close.

“How will I know if I am the high bidder?”

During the auction you will be sent emails when you’re winning or outbid. Please make sure you check your main email and spam folder for the email updates. You will receive an invoice by e-mail by 11am the next day after the auction closes.

“How do I pay?”

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express for all auctions.  With special arrangements, we can accept Certified Bank Check or Cash at our Fast Track Marketplace Elyria location.  Your credit card on file is charged automatically at the end of the auction by 11am the next day unless otherwise stated, and you will not receive your invoice until the credit card charge has been applied.

“When do I pay?”

Your card on file is automatically charged after the auction has closed by 11am the next day.
